Workshops for young people aged 14 – 25 years (Order on Eventbrite Here)
Curated by spoken-word artist Aleksa Asme and theatre maker Kaylah Jackson, this poetry workshop will introduce you to writing as a form of self-expression. It will provide a space to unravel thoughts, feelings and passions through different writing styles and forms. With a focus on mental health and spaces, this workshop will address what you care about the most. You do not need any experience in poetry, we just ask that you are open to trying something new
We are Kaylah Jackson and Aleksa Asme and we are participating in a research programme with Partnership for Young London. Our research question is “Where do young people aged 14-25 living in London go when they are not at school or at home and is there a correlation between space and mental wellbeing”.
The work created in the session will help us with our research enabling us to present our findings to the GLA (Greater London Authority) with the aim of improving youth services by 2024.
FREE
Sessions will take place at the Albany, Douglas Way, Deptford, SE8 4AG
